Meet the team

Jaree Johnson

Principal / Stylist

JaRee has been in the hair industry for almost 16 years and has always aspired to own her own salon: a space that delivers the best guest experience possible.

She specializes in the art of designing hair, from her precision haircutting to the soft delicate colors she creates. JaRee is certified and specializes in four different extension methods and multiple hair retexturing services.

Her knowledge and skillset is evident with the quality work she produces.

Vanessa John

Principal / Stylist

Vanessa’s passion for the beauty industry began at a very young age. Straight out of high school, she attended and graduated from Capitol School of Hairstyling in 2007 and has been a licensed cosmetologist for 13 years.

Vanessa has mastered proficiency in color, balayage, highlighting, hair extensions, and cuts for men and women. Her passion lies between color, hand tied extensions, and special occasion hair styles and up-dos.

Vanessa stays updated on all the latest trends so that she can help you to look your absolute best.

Vanessa is committed to exceeding each of her guest’s expectations and to assist each of them in achieving their beauty goals.

Hilary Cummings

Hilary has been a licensed cosmetologist for 6 years, but her love of hair has been lifelong. She obtained her license in Michigan, where she worked behind the chair for 5 years.

She specializes in precision cutting, razor cutting, bold fashion color, and highlighting/blonding services. Hilary loves a good challenge and will gladly take on a tricky color correction or dramatic change.

Hilary is dedicated to making sure that her guests look and feel like their best selves when they leave the salon.

Jenny Murphy

It’s not just a hair service to Jenny, it’s art. Prior to becoming a stylist 6 years ago, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. She applies her understanding of color theory and design concepts to her craft every day. Trained through Aveda, Jenny is skilled at balayage, hair painting, hair color, and men’s cuts. As a curly girl herself, she specializes in curly and wavy hair, understanding the dynamics of hair textures and curl patterns. She also enjoys the precision it takes to deliver the perfect men’s fade, taper, and texturized styles.

Jenny’s clients love that she’s relaxed, easy-going, and really listens to what they need - which is a big part of her expressive and artistic approach.

Ellen Clare

Ellen cares most about connection - whether it be through artistic expression or a heartfelt facial.

After receiving her BA in Creative Writing, Ellen moved back home to Omaha, working numerous odd-jobs before landing a reception position at a local salon & spa. During that time she realized how much skin therapy can do for not only the complexion, but the soul, and her passion for esthetics was instantly sparked.

She enrolled in the esthetics program at Capitol School of Hairstyling & Esthetics and received her esthetics license in July of 2021.

quote-left My knowledge and love for my work grows daily and I truly believe that is evident in the service I provide. My goal is to give every single client a one-of-a-kind, enjoyable, and quality experience. I want my clients to feel comfortable and cared for. It’s the biggest honor to help others feel their best, within their own skin. So, what do you say? Let’s connect! I’ve got a safe space for you.

Schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hour notice for cancellations. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that reserved time. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked, possibly, months ago. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a cancellation fee will apply.

· Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount .
· "No shows" will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
· When making a reservation, a credit card must be linked to your account. Multiple services not canceled 24 hours in advance will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.

The cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our team members' scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone.

Antidote Salon policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent servicing for our established and future clientele. Thank you for viewing and supporting our policy criteria.

We want you to be fully satisfied with the service you receive at Antidote. Although we do not offer refunds on salon services, we will make every effort possible to correct any issues or concerns you may have with your initial service. If you have any concerns, please notify us within two days. We will then request that you come into the salon so the stylist who performed the initial service may make any adjustments. Adjustments are free of charge within two weeks of the initial service. If a different service is requested, that service may be charged as a new service at full price.
